Zed the Beaver

As you all may know, team member Ravioli likes to get me out of the house for exercise. We are fortunate to live near a river. If we walk along the water in the early morning, we are treated to a display of superb swimming skills from the river beaver. I have named this cutie Zed, because I can't resist naming animals, or inanimate objects.

Ravioli and I always look for this industrious mammal. Zed seems to prefer swimming

before the tugboats start their day (yes, we have tugboats in this same stretch of river that working all day). Because I'm a curious creature, I looked up the scientific name for beaver. It is Castor, Castor canadensis to be exact. Castor? Seriously? Well, maybe if we slap a cape on Zed and teach them magic, it would work... spell castor? (I know it's spellcaster but allow me the play on words for the sake of the pun).
